Cymraeg Just did my first welsh lesson with rosettastone. Very cool. I like that it's a logic kind of thing. They show you four pictures(one of these things is not like the others.....) and then show and say the phrase. You get to pick out which picture is the right one. Once you get what the operative word is, it's not tooo hard.Boy is welsh a jaw buster though. I like a challenge..... | | 9:38 am |
Thunder and lightning, lightning and thunder...... Thunder is still rumbling away here. I love it! Not so the cats or the new neighbours. Who are, despite being ultra churchy and having four kids under five years old, really nice people. No yard work today. That means I must fae the house work that I have been putting off. *sigh* I hate house work. But I love the thuinder and the rain, so that balances things out. PS. Hey Podle, why were we running a charity haunted house/gaskel ball at the paramount? Strange dreams. And who was that bitch that kept demanding the best costumes? | | Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 | | 7:44 am |

How does your garden grow? Well, now that we have warm and hot weather, it's doing pretty well. ALl the beans and chickpeas that I planted last week have suddenly burst up through the soil. The blueberry bushes are covered with fat little green blue berries and the corn is actually growing visibly each day. Carrots are up and so are th eparsnips, rhutabagas, and the turnips. Lettuce is almost all ready to harvest and the tomatillos are growing at least an inch a day. The tomatos have produced thier first little green round guys and the spuds have gone completely nuts. It should be a good harvest sometime in October. Ah well, there it is then. | | Friday, June 27th, 2008 | | 7:05 am |
Yay! I has my little bother! Sushispook arrived in good condition last night. We had a lovely dinner of cedar plank salmon and shrimp and salad from the yard and strawberries and cream. Much good conversation was had. And Iget to have him back tonight and part of tomorrow morning too. This is soooo cool. | | Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 | | 8:36 am |
Ummmmm... For whatever reason I find myself on the edge of a panic attack today. I don't know what is up. Maybe it's not having the constant distraction of Mr. Loren being here and the fact that they cancelled the class I was going to take. But, boy howdy I got the wigglies today. Think I better get out in the yard and play in the dirt for awhile. | | Monday, June 23rd, 2008 | | 10:16 am |
Waaaaaaah! My pate' de verre class was cancelled! Sat there for along time before they came and told me. they were supposed to call me last week and let me know. Waaaahhhh! I knew it,though. On theway to the class this morning, it just popped into myhead that the class was cancelled. Bleh. Oh well. I guess I better catch up on thehouse and garden work while Mr. Loren is at work. | | Friday, June 20th, 2008 | | 6:29 pm |

Nice day... So yesturday they came and decided to spray the house for the carpenter ants ane the little red ants in the workroom. They said that it was not a nasty spray and that we would not even smell it. yeah right. we decided to vacate the premisis and head out to the aquarium. We have ahd two passes for a couple of years and decided tosee if theywould still work. They did. We had not been since they re-did it a couple of years ago. It's very nice. Althoug, I could do with a little less grotto cave stuff. And they no longer have the sea dragons. But theystill hava a very cool octopus exhibit and the otters(both the marine and the river) were in fine form. They have puffins too. There is something about puffins that is so cute. The tropical fish were amazing and so were all the local guys. I love the aquarium. It just makes me soooo happy. They gift shop had my number in a huge way.And many fun things came home with us. We had a very nice lunch at Ivars Acres of Clams and all in all it was a nice day. Woke up with gummy eyes and a sore throat. I think I can blame the ant spray for that. They kitties are fine. They do not seem to have noticed it at all. Which is a good thing. The garden is starting to actually take off with the warmer weather. Which means I need to get my butt out there more than ever. Lettuce anyone? | | Sunday, June 15th, 2008 | | 7:58 pm |
Beautifull day in the neighbourhood.... What a gorgeous day! We went to the Ballard market and bought yummy stuff. Had lunch at Hattie's Hat. Came home and I messed about in the yard for awhile. Getting caught up. The corn is finnaly commin gup now that we have had a couple of warm days. I was beginning o despair. Now for the rest of the raised beds/pots and all that. Hope everyone else had a nice day too. | | Saturday, June 14th, 2008 | | 9:04 am |
D'oh! I feel like crap this morning. Why? Because I pulled an amazing dim-bulb moment last night. I forgot to take my last insulin shot! Sugar upon waking up? 206. bleh. We have someone comming over and the house is gross, but it's gonna have to stay gross, 'cause I do not have th energy to do anything about iot in less thanan hour. Bleh. | | Friday, June 13th, 2008 | | 2:17 pm |
ooooorgh... Antibiotics are having their wonderfull digestive effect on me. Not wanting to get very far from a bathroom right now. Plus the waaaaay low energy thing. I am soo glad that I decided not to fly this weekend. It would not have been fun for anyone. | | 10:30 am |
*sigh* Many months ago I wrote to our old insurance company to get the documentation that we had had insurance up until Loren got the job with Volt. Now Loren is not working at Volt. He has been hired by the evil empire again and we will have the old super good insurance back. We needed the documentation so that the insurance from Volt would actually cover the diabetes stuff. Toady in the mail we got the documentation......a few months late. *sigh* | | Thursday, June 12th, 2008 | | 8:12 pm |

Rats! I am comming down with a cold. Bleh. Fever, sore throat, skin hurts andmuscles ache. I do not want. The march like weather is not helping. Taking mr. Loren to doc this afternoon with the dizzies. Hope I don't get that too. Oh well, as long as I am over it by Next week. Don't want to be sick around my Dad right now. Not with the chemo etc. | | Thursday, June 5th, 2008 | | 1:59 pm |
Blah... I suck at house cleaning. I just do not enjoy it that much. I like it when the house is neat, but I just hate the time I have to spend doing it. It would, of course, be easier if it was just me. But with a husband and three cats, it's a little more complicated than that.If only I could get the cats to clean up their litter box and the cat food that ends up on the floor. Not to mention the fur! Oh well, it's good for me or something...... | | Wednesday, June 4th, 2008 | | 7:18 pm |
Musings of a muddled mind... So I had this idea. It came to me ,as so many ideas do, while I was doing something else. I now no longer remember what it was that I was doing else. Anyway, the idea is this:My dad is gonna loose his hair to the chemo. Why not put together a box of hats for all occasions? Something that he could use for any and all occasions. Storming the castle, eating pizza in italy, spelunking in mongolia? So, does any body have or know where to get fabulous hats fro my dad? I want to present him with the box on father's day. | | 10:02 am |
Raining AGAIN? Rats, I wanna be out in the yard playing nithe dirt some more. Oh well. We have made it out to twomovies in one week. That's amazing for us. The last movie we saw at the theater was Stardust last year. We saw the new Indiana Jones and the Chronicles of Narnia. Liked both of them. The Indie movie was just so perfectly old saturday matinee. Check your brain at the box office and enjoy the ride. Fun. Narnia was good too. It started really slowly, but once it got up to speed it was fun. Not as jaw dropping as the first one,but a good one all the same. Now for Iron Man....... |
